Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.About the roleDroneShield is looking to recruit a Safety Officer who will work with the team to ensure compliance with work health and safety Regulations and Act. The position will report primarily to the Quality & Safety Manager and will work closely with the different areas of the business.Responsibilities, Duties and ExpectationsPlanning, implementing and overseeing compliance with WHS Regulations and ActDevelop and/or maintain risk assessments for sites including installation sites domestic and internationalHazard identification, prevention and documentationManaging Workplace inspections, incident reportingRecords and investigates injuries and equipment damage, and reports safety performancePreparing Safe Work Method Statements as requiredTrains employees in personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working proceduresEvaluate activities and processes for compliance with work health and safety legislation, policies and procedures relevant to Defence industry.Co-ordinates the return of injured workers into the workplaceConduct safety auditsPromote workplace safety cultureQualifications, Experience and SkillsDefence or Defence Industry experience is desirableExperience in Safety role in a similar industryKnowledge of ISO 45001Knowledge of Legislative requirementsKnowledge of SafeWork NSW Code of practicesKnowledge of WHS Act & RegulationsWe are unable to sponsor candidates for this role.
