Job Description
Play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality and safety of our NRMA vehicles including electrical, mechanical diagnosis & repairs, service body repairs & improvements of NRMA Patrol Vehicles and Tow Trucks, along with exchange and general reconditioning of in-vehicle equipment. You will also provide general assistance to our wider team to manage the operation of the fleet store as well as provide support to the day-to-day fleet operations.

Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
1. Diagnosing faults and carrying out emergency repairs / servicing utilising appropriate work practices, techniques, tools and equipment to vehicles & fit outs
2. Carrying out service body repurposing in line with organisational requirements and needs based reviews.
3. General service body repairs & updates within the Fleet Team scope
4. Patrol Vehicle preparation, including cleaning - wash and vacuum.
5. Providing general store support including pick and handling goods on behalf of the Store Administrator
6. Maintaining the workshop & machine store in a clean, safe and professional condition and assist in general presentation of the Fleet site.
Qualifications
7. Trade qualifications as an Automotive Electrician or Automotive Mechanic combined with the successful completion of an apprenticeship and some experience in repairing a range of motor vehicles
8. Valid MVRIA Licence or equivalent
9. Current Valid NSW Driver’s License
10. Knowledge and experience in the repair and modification of service bodies, vehicle electrical and mechanical systems, including the use of diagnostic tools
11. Experience in the use of a range of tools and equipment associated with electrical and mechanical diagnosis
12. Professional attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills
13. Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and contracted service providers
14. Developed written and verbal communication skills
15. Ability to interpret and apply instructions, with attention to detail and within timelines
16. Ability to work effectively autonomously and with a team
