**The Opportunity**
The PR and Communications Officer is a key contributor to all internal and external communications across Asuria, and provides advice and support for marketing and communications activities. Under the guidance of the PR and Communications Manager, this role provides specialist PR and communications support to the business including crafting case studies, blog articles and press releases, while handling website management, communications materials and strategies to build Asuria's public profile.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Write and distribute press releases
- Manage and develop media contact database
- Support PR and Communications Manager and external PR consultant
- Support paid media advertising opportunities
- Build relationships with Asuria staff, especially regional managers, to identify story leads for department case studies, blog articles and press releases
- Manage content workflows - from brief through to publication that engages target audience
- Collaborate with Digital/Social Media Managers to fulfil content briefs
- Act as custodian for internal and external branding to ensure consistency, standardisation and a professional image at all site and in all forums where Asuria communicates
- Develop and circulate media releases as required
- Brand management including logo library, brand guidelines, and communications style guide
**What sets you apart from the rest?**
- At least 2 years' experience in media/ marketing/PR/ communications support role (highly desirable)
- Tertiary qualified in communications, marketing, media or a related discipline
- Successful results in developing external and internal communications material
- Ability to source, write and edit communication materials for a range of departments/business units
- Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills
- A high level of self-awareness and an ability to effectively build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Web Content Management and social media experience is an added advantage
- Marketing and communications knowledge with exposure to writing and editing content, social media promotion, website management and internal communication strategies
- Strong command of grammar and the English language
