Supported by State and Australian Government Disaster Recovery Funding, the position supports our small business communities impacted by recent natural disasters in North Queensland. You will work collaboratively with key small business stakeholders to influence the development and delivery of tailored resilience initiatives such as workshops, networking events, training and mentoring.
You will work alongside our local Business Assist officers to further the build the capacity of local business communities to navigate difficult times and bounce back after disaster strikes.In addition to your passion for business, and your genuine desire to help others succeed, you will have solid project and contract management experience to ensure the timely and appropriate use of available funding.At the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), we are
improving customer services to Queenslanders, supporting small and family business owners, and providing better government services and support.
We ensure customer-focused, effective and accessible engagement with government for Queenslanders, small and family business owners and other government agencies. The Customer, Small and Family Business branch within the Department
of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business assists small and family business to start, grow and be resilient by providing access to trusted, relevant information and support programs.
As a key member of the Business Assist team, you will work locally across all levels of government, industry and with stakeholders to ensure small and family businesses get access to government support and programs where and when they need them.

* highly developed conceptual, analytical, research and project and computer skills as demonstrated by a record of analysis of information, data and trends, the preparation and presentation of findings through reports and presentations and contribution to the achievement of objectives.
This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
