As a key team member in our close-knit, dynamic team, you'll collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure our food production processes and standards comply with legal, customer, and international food safety regulations.
Job Description
You'll conduct daily quality and safety checks, manage compliance documents, and support audits to ensure regulatory standards are met.
* Perform environmental and product sampling for HACCP, manage Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and support R&D with testing and validation.
* Maintain export licenses and verify production meets international food safety regulations and Critical Control Point (CCP) requirements.
* Collaborate with production teams to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and implement corrective actions based on data analysis.
* Conduct hygiene inspections, monitor sanitation trends, and ensure compliance with cleaning protocols to maintain food safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (preferred) OR 5+ years of experience in a food quality role.
* Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and international standards (HACCP, SQF, BRC).
* Experience in the meat or food processing industry is an advantage.
* A solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
