About the Role Our client is seeking two Field Service Technicians to join their expert service team. This hands on role is ideal for a qualified electrical fitter/mechanic or licensed electrician with experience in transformer maintenance and on load tap changers (OLTCs). You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, servicing high-voltage equipment across a range of customer sites. You’ll travel across Australia and will be provided with learning and growth opportunities, as you refine your craft. Key Responsibilities Service, repair, and maintain high-voltage OLTCs and related transformer components Perform diagnostics, resistance testing, and fault finding Install and commission transformer accessories, motor drives, and control systems Modify and assemble electrical components and wiring Use technical documentation, schematics, and procedures effectively Mentor junior technicians on-site and in training environments Maintain accurate service documentation and OH&S compliance Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams What You’ll Need to Succeed Qualified Electrical Fitter or Licensed Electrician (or equivalent mechanical/electrical qualification) A full EWRB Practicing Licence in NZ A minimum of 3 years experience working with transformers/OLTC across ANZ or internationally Strong knowledge of power transformer functionality and components Comfortable with hands-on, technical field work, in remote environments and where you need to think on your feet Excellent troubleshooting skills, both electrical and mechanical with a passion for keeping up with the latest technologies and trends Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) A safety-first mindset and team-oriented attitude Who are we?
