Leadership Role for Pig Farm Operations
Direct and supervise a team of personnel responsible for the care and production of pigs from weaning to market.
This leadership position requires collaboration with other managers, supervisors, production staff, and company employees, necessitating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ensure adherence to animal welfare policies at all times, partnering with the Production Well-being team when incidents occur.
* Develop strategies for staffing, training, and developing finish supervisor and daily caretaker staff.
* Formulate plans to achieve production and economic goals for the company and specific geographic areas.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of five years of previous experience in swine production operations is desired.
* Proficiency in computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Office products.
* The employee must be able to work in various facilities within the requirements of this job description.
Bilingualism is preferred.
