The Australian Sports Commission is embarking on the Green and Gold decade. About the team – The Sport Intelligence & Analytics team leverages data to enhance athlete performance and deliver a competitive advantage to Australia's high-performance system. The team delivers data engineering, data analytics, data science and data governance support and leads the administration of the Athlete Management System and AIS Hub digital platform for the Australian high-performance system. About the role – Provide advice and expertise in relation to the delivery of the Athlete Management System (AMS). The Product Specialist will manage projects, implement methods aimed to improve data quality and analysis, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the identification of areas for improvement that support our athletes, coaches, scientists / clinicians and management. About you – In consultation with internal and external stakeholders, implement the organisational strategic agenda to achieve section and business outcomes. This includes: Develop knowledge and expertise in Teamworks AMS (Formally Smartabase) as a technical expert and trusted advisor to the network. Provide comprehensive technical support and manage projects for sports and their users. Liaise with a range of performance professionals to develop, evaluate and improve data capture and analysis methods for AMS. Develop processes that enhance and contribute to departmental and cross organisational initiatives. Acquire, maintain and enhance knowledge and skills to support all relevant applications contributing to AMS. Liaise with end users of the data to ensure that data emanating from the system will provide reliable support for athletes, coaches, scientists/clinicians, and management.
