We are a small (but growing) Geelong based business working across AUS/NZ/PNG specialising in GPS tracking solutions for fleets and assets.
Our focus is on helping businesses operate more efficiently by providing tracking technology backed by exceptional after-sales service, we pride ourselves on knowing our clients by name and getting stuff done for them as easily and quickly as possible.
We aren't big on stress. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around. Character is more important than experience to us!
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys a balance of practical, hands-on work and technical, computer-based tasks. Extensive training will be provided and help will always be available, questions are always encouraged to be asked!
The role mainly involves installing and servicing GPS tracking units in customer vehicles and machinery on site as well as working the support email/phone while carrying out system health checks on existing customer fleets.
When we get large customer orders you will be responsible for the setting up, testing and dispatching/installing the units.
It requires attention to detail, the ability to follow and improve on implemented processes and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of service.
The position is offered on a casual basis with one set day in the office each week and then on an as needed basis travelling to clients around Geelong and Melbourne to fit GPS Tracking units, this will usually be a full day of work every second week or so.
A company vehicle will be provided for client site visits.
It's an excellent fit for a student looking to gain real-world experience while balancing study commitments.
For the right person, there is the potential for this role to grow into a full-time position as our business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
* Professionally install GPS tracking devices in a variety of vehicles and machinery.
* Perform fleet-wide health checks using our online platform.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations for clients.
* Provide professional after-sales support and technical assistance to customers.

About You
We're looking for someone reliable, motivated, and eager to learn. You'll be comfortable working with vehicles/machinery and equally confident using computer systems. This role involves mostly solo work, so you need to be comfortable working alone.
Most importantly, we are looking for a great character.
To be successful, you'll have:
* A current Driver's Licence (essential, P plates acceptable).
* Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems.
* Highly process orientated and continually monitoring ways to improve on them.
* Good communication skills and professional presentation.
* Ability to work independently.
* Previous experience in automotive, electrical, or similar roles is a plus, but not essential — training will be provided.
