We are seeking a highly skilled Food Production Specialist to join our team at the Melbourne Museum. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to work in a high-profile cultural venue.
Job Description:
This role involves working closely with the Sous and Head Chefs to ensure efficient food production and quality control. The successful candidate will be responsible for running their own section in a high-quality kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and quality. The menu will change frequently to match museum exhibitions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role from busy restaurant and/or cafe settings, and hold a certification in Commercial Cookery III or IV.
Key skills required include punctuality, self-drive, autonomy, open-mindedness, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

As a casual employee, you can expect to work Monday to Sunday with flexible hours, offering excellent work-life balance. You will be paid $40.00 per hour on weekdays, $45.00 on Saturdays, and $50.00 on Sundays, plus superannuation benefits.
