ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Graphic Designer will play a critical role in helping Richmond to build a united, sustainable and trusted football club that focuses on Belonging, Thriving and Winning.
This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and works collaboratively with teams such as Customer, Sponsorship, Digital, Events, Fan Engagement and Retail to build the brand experience across all channels.
Along with conceptual ability, this role requires strong and meticulous design skills (digital and print) and must have the ability to take a project from initial brief right through to finished art.
This is a 12 month contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design & Brand: Support design needs across departments, partners, and subsidiaries. Work with the Senior Graphic Designer to develop concepts and finished artwork for digital, print, and brand assets. Apply strong layout, design, and typography skills while upholding Richmond's brand and style.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Interpret briefs and collaborate with internal teams, partners, and suppliers to deliver high-quality, brand-aligned design outcomes. Ensure creative outputs meet brand guidelines and maintain consistency.
3. General: Manage the Club's design resources and imagery library. Assist with game days and events, including evenings and weekends, and undertake tasks as directed by the Senior Graphic Designer.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
1. Tertiary qualification in design/graphic arts (or equivalent) with 2–3 years' in-house design experience.
2. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with working knowledge of Lightroom, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
3. Strong portfolio across digital and print, with knowledge of digital channels and production/printing techniques.
4. Mac platform proficiency; motion graphics/animation skills desirable.
5. Creative, detail-focused designer with strong aesthetic and strategic thinking.
6. Excellent communication, time management, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, both independently and in a team.
