We are seeking entry-level Aerospace and Mechanical Engineers to join our team in Design Engineering, Structural Analysis, and Fleet Customer Support at our Port Melbourne office on a full-time permanent basis based 100% onsite. We are looking for innovative thinkers, systematic problem solvers, and technical pioneers to join our diverse and dynamic Engineering team.


This is critical work to keep us at the forefront of aerospace and innovation and a great opportunity for Engineers to grow and develop their skills whilst making a real contribution to a world-class engineering function.
Position Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities you will need to perform include, but are not limited to:

* Assisting in the development and documentation of structural requirements to support system design.
* Coordinating with other engineering teams to understand and establish the product's environment.
* Supporting product design by using basic analytical methods and tools to verify structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
* Helping to create test plans and configurations, supporting test execution, and reporting results to ensure systems and components meet requirements.
* Documenting certification and test results to demonstrate compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Assisting in the investigation of in-service product failures and suggesting improvements.
* Contributing to the development of analytical processes and tools to enhance the effectiveness and quality of engineering efforts.
* Using 3-D CAD tools to assist in the design, maintenance, and modification of structural components, providing necessary product definitions to other teams.
* Supporting supplier development and production activities, coordinating with suppliers to help optimise designs and achieve program goals.
* Participating in the development of new design processes and tools to improve the efficiency and quality of engineering work.

Basic qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, ideally Aerospace or Mechanical.
* Entry-level technical experience in either structural analysis, design engineering, or customer support engineering in new product development, design organization, or airline engineering.
* Basic experience with relevant software, depending on your role; Finite Element Models (FEM), Advanced CAD, analytical and post processing tools.
* Demonstrated skills in problem solving.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Excellent cross-functional teaming, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication.
* Experience with CATIA V5 software is highly desirable.

Classification Level: This is an Enterprise Agreement position classified as Engineer / Scientist Level 1A. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3-month probationary period.
