Are you an experienced Estimator within the construction industry?
Our client is looking for an Estimator to secure new work by preparing high-quality tenders and fee proposals. You will be responsible for utilising a proven subcontractor base to deliver competitive and quality bids suitable for the size and type of project. This is an opportunity for you to work on fit-out and refurbishment projects while maintaining industry-leading standards.
About The Role
* Secure new business by preparing comprehensive tender submissions and fee proposals
* Establish and maintain subcontractor relationships to ensure price competitiveness and quality work
* Manage financial performance through bid strategies, profit improvement, and budget management
* Prepare detailed take-offs and tender estimates while conducting site inspections for each bid
* Liaise with colleagues to share best practices and information regarding new and past clients
* Update project progress within the Project Delivery System Procore to ensure full system compliance
* Maintain accurate documentation of tenders, submissions, and competitor databases
* Develop client relationships and participate in networking functions to generate repeat business
* Mentor and coach team members while demonstrating leadership within the pre-construction department
* Maintain the highest standard of EHSQ to create a safe work environment
What You Will Need
* Experience in Estimating or Quantity Surveying, ideally within the Fit-out and Refurbishment industry
* 1-2 years of on-site experience to support buildability assessments
* Able to pass a defence clearance (DCAC)
* Experience working on projects $5M+
* Solid experience interpreting specifications and drawings for accuracy and technical feasibility
* A building-related degree/diploma or a relevant trade background
* Thorough knowledge of the Standard Method of Measurement
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Prdesired)
* Proven dedication to EHSQ principles

* Experience with JOBPAC and Procore
