About Us
Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There is currently 18 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services. You will be joining Monash Health at an exciting time as we work in partnership with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria. As a member of the pathology team you will be helping shape the direction of the partnership.
About the Role:
* Hours: Full Time Maternity Leave Position (5th January - 30th November 2026)
* Classification: Grade 2 Medical Laboratory Technician BV1-ON18 (Depending on experience)
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to work in our Anatomical Pathology Department at Monash Medical Centre. The successful candidates are expected to participate in staff rotations.
About You
The successful applicant will need to have:
* Dedicate Diploma in Laboratory Technology
* Experience in specimen receipt, tracking and preparation of histological samples
* Experience in embedding and microtomy
* Knowledge in performing maintenance on laboratory equipment
* Knowledge of the preparation of cytology specimens is desirable but not essential.
