Job Title: Experienced Payroll Officer
Job Description:
The role of the APS5 Payroll Officer is to deliver payroll services and provide detailed interpretive advice on employee entitlements in accordance with legislation and policies. The position involves performing complex payroll processing tasks, participating in a customer-focused service desk for all employees, and providing sound timely and accurate advice to employees on pay, conditions, policy, processes, and systems.
The successful candidate will have a high level working knowledge and understanding of the APS pay and conditions legislation, policies, and procedures in administering a payroll function. They will also have demonstrated experience in the use of a Human Resources Management Information System, prioritization skills, and ability to work under pressure to achieve required time frames and business outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Highly developed written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders with professionalism and credibility.
* Guide and mentor team members.
* Ability to undertake workers compensation processing.
