About the Role
Rydges South Bank is seeking a dedicated and passionate Conference & Events Sales Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you'll handle a variety of business and social event inquiries, working with both local and international clients. Your role will focus on providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth planning and execution of all hotel events.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing daily administrative support to clients and internal teams
• Handling email and phone inquiries promptly
• Assisting with the preparation and processing of event paperwork
• Managing the preparation and processing of Event Orders and all corresponding paperwork
• Collaborating closely with the operations team to ensure seamless conference/event execution and coordination with F&B outlets
• Maintaining detailed records and diary management
• Conducting thorough post-event follow-ups with clients
• Coordinating with event suppliers and third-party vendors as needed
Skills & Experience
• Relevant qualifications or current studies in Marketing, Event/Hospitality Management, Business/Sales (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in event coordination and/or sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with IVvy, OPERA Cloud, or similar software (a plus)
• Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• A proactive approach to securing repeat business
• Professionalism, strong time management, and a drive to achieve success
