Contract Opportunity – Heavy Diesel Mechanic
MEDLOG is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Contractor) to support our service team based in Naval Base. This contract role will focus on the safe, efficient repair and maintenance of our on-highway fleet, both in-workshop and at breakdown locations.
Scope of Work
Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on on-highway equipment
* Attend breakdowns as required, either on-site or in the field
* Identify and report additional mechanical faults beyond the initial scope of work
* Accurately record job details and maintenance activities
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
* Comply with all MEDLOG safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
Contractor Requirements
* Relevant trade qualification and demonstrated heavy diesel mechanical experience
* Contracting to Medlog – must have own ABN
* Current car licence (essential)
* HR licence (desirable), MC licence (desirable)
* Forklift licence (desirable)
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
* Proactive and safety-focused approach to all tasks
* Previous experience within the transport or logistics industry is advantageous
