About the Role
The role of the Digital Content Developer is to support the Commission by converting technical, process driven, and supporting documents into webpages and other interactive digital content. Their focus is to produce digital content in line with established development processes from specification documents. This role assists in the ongoing development and maintenance of a SharePoint-based formal document management system covering the Commission's functions. This role requires excellent technical competencies in producing high quality digital content with good time management skills.
Position Duties
The Digital Content Developer will be required to maintain and develop content primarily in SharePoint that supports Commission staff to effectively interact with business units.
Adhering to team processes, the Digital Content Developer will be required to:
* Assist in content publication and curation including creating, editing, reviewing, and archiving digital content, ensuring consistent presentation and branding.
* Assist in the curation of Commission documentation and the team's digital asset library.
* Develop and maintain site page templates, site pages, and site maps.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of process maps and process documentation.
* Respond to Service Desk requests and incidents.
* Manage cross-functional workflows and ensure high-quality outcomes.
* Demonstrate attention to detail and finalise allocated tasks in a timely manner.
* Work independently within an environment of change and ambiguity, and with minimal instruction or guidance.
* Work in and with geographically dispersed teams.
* Resolve conflicts between competing work goals, priorities, and projects.
* Display sound judgement in challenging environments.
* Demonstrate commitment to the Commission Values.
* Complete other related duties as assigned
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria)
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
* Ability to read, understand and interpret technical information to produce engaging digital content in the form of web pages on SharePoint sites.
* Ability to estimate time to complete technical requirements and report effectively.
* Ability to edit and publish SharePoint intranet sites to maintain comprehensive and unified suites of interlinked resources, with a high level of independent technical expertise, or ability to quickly learn competencies in this product.
* Ability to maintain metadata in a robust and reliable manner.
* Effective communication skills including:
o o Ability to build productive working relationships in matters relating to internal stakeholders.
o o Excellent presentation skills of complex, engaging and intuitive technical functions; and
o o Ability to participate in idea forums and other types of interpersonal meetings.
* Strong technical skills in SharePoint, Visio, and DevOps, and/or demonstrated aptitude in learning how to operate new technologies.
* Ability to review digital content for quality and accuracy.
* Strong self-management skills including the ability to organise work activities and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
* Capability to innovate and anticipate opportunities.
* Advanced knowledge of SharePoint site administration, including metadata management, and search optimisation.
* Knowledge and experience in:
o SharePoint content management and creation.
o Project Management skills and DevOps/Agile methodologies.
o DevOps (or similar) as a work item management tool; and
o Design and editing tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Figma.
Position Notes
* Salary offered will be between $86,204.00 - $93,226.00 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

* Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
