About the Role
As part of the broader Finance team, and reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll functions globally (including Australia, Dubai, Netherlands & USA offices). In this permanent, standalone role, you will be the main point of contact for all payroll functions and queries.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll across our global offices
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee data, contracts, terminations, banking information, tax status, and leave balances
Ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries, superannuation, commissions, and reimbursements
Validate timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies with employees as needed
Liaise with international payroll agents and ensure all global payroll transactions and deposits are executed accurately and on schedule
Interpret and apply relevant industrial awards and employment regulations
Manage payroll reporting, coding, and monthly reconciliations across systems including Xero, QuickBooks, Expensify, and global payroll platforms
Oversee compliance and statutory obligations such as PAYG, payroll tax, WorkCover, Superannuation Guarantee, 401K (USA), and pension (UK/EMEA)
Support broader HR and finance processes including onboarding/offboarding from a payroll perspective, leave management, employee queries, and commission payouts
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in payroll and finance with a flair for numbers
A relevant certification or tertiary qualification, (Business or Accounting preferred)
A trustworthy and reliable approach when handling confidential employee data
Experience using Xero and Salesforce (preferred, but not essential)
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Great organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines
Curiosity and enthusiasm for working in a creative, sensory-driven industry
