Title: National Workplace Health and Safety Partner

About the role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this operational leadership role is pivotal in developing and implementing a robust safety management system, partnering with senior leaders, and ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational standards. You'll be the go-to expert for all things national organisation: leading audits, shaping policy, and coaching leaders to build safety capability and confidence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Lead the implementation of a national Workplace Health and Safety strategy that empowers leaders to own safety outcomes and build high-performing safety-first teams
* Be the trusted voice at the leadership table, and collaborate cross-functionally to embed Workplace Health and Safety into broader organisational initiatives
* Champion risk reduction through audits, training, and crisis readiness, ensuring our sites meets safety expectations.
* Analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement and influence strategic decision-making.
* Champion mental health and wellbeing initiatives, fostering a culture of care and accountability.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
* Proven experience in Workplace Health and Safety Advisory or Business Partnering roles
* Strong knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation, ISO 45001, and risk management frameworks
* Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills
* Ability to interpret safety data to inform strategic decisions
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Degree in Work Health and Safety, Human Resources, Employment Law or a related discipline
* National travel is required to support our teams across Australia.
