Located on Rottnest Island, THE LANE CAFE and SIMMOS ICECREAM are the go-to destination for the best coffee, quirky fresh food and delicious ice-cream offers. The highly popular new seasonal pop-up, HAVZA, is an exciting recent location creating a landmark venue in one of the most iconic locations in Western Australia.
Providing high quality meals for both breakfast and lunch through the main cafe The Lane, HAVZA presents a full service, licensed restaurant through lunch and dinner. Fresh Mediterranean flavours with only the best of local WA produce complementing the idyllic surrounds of The Basin Rottnest.
This is a challenging position working in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality product and service. A dedicated 'hands-on' approach is required to lead the delivery of services alongside a well balanced and experienced team.
Located on Rottnest Island. Depending on requirements, this may either suit applicants wishing either a live-on position or commuting daily
Primary Responsibilities
- All aspects of daily operations, including staff supervision, ordering, rostering, daily/weekly cash reconciliation, banking, repairs, and maintenance associated with the venues.
- Working from the main premises leading the cafe / ice-creamery team with oversight of the operations at The Basin.
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring premises are maintained and secured.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Implement, communicate and manage productivity systems to ensure the efficient running of the business and adherence to agreed KPI’s.
- Oversee and effect positive training initiatives to ensure all staff are proficient in operational competencies relevant to their positions within the company.
- Provide guidance, leadership and direction to senior team members across all operations.
- Coordinate and affect recruitment strategies to ensure core levels of staffing.
- Ensure Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety integrity.
