The Client:
Zylo has teamed up with a well established and forward-thinking law firm committed to providing exceptional legal services to their clients. We are seeking a talented and dedicated Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This can be based either in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
Position Summary:
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting their Lawyers in various litigation matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting legal research and analysis
* Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
* Assisting with case management, including scheduling hearings, organising evidence, and managing deadlines
* Preparing for trial by organising exhibits, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with courtroom logistics
* Communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Qualifications:
* Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience (preferred)
* Strong understanding of litigation procedures and evidence rules
* Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Proficiency in legal software and database systems
