Remuneration Package
Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.
Position Information
Balmain Public School, located in the heart of the Balmain Peninsula and known as the 'school in the park,' is a vibrant inner‐west school with a current enrolment of 319, comprising 13 classes, including two Opportunity Classes. We serve a diverse community, with approximately 35% from EAL/D backgrounds, and 1% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff deliver innovative, high‐quality teaching programs focused on creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication. We value strong partnerships with families and the local community, supported by an active P&C association that contributes to and supports school initiatives, working together to support every student's growth and potential.

Specific Selection Criteria
* Proven capacity to identify, plan for and support students with diverse learning and wellbeing needs through the implementation of evidence‐informed adjustments and interventions that improve student engagement, participation and learning outcomes.
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of departmental processes, policy requirements and data‐informed practices that support the identification, coordination, monitoring and provision of adjustments and interventions for students with additional learning and support needs.
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication and consultation skills, with the demonstrated capacity to manage complex and sensitive matters, build productive partnerships, and collaborate effectively with teachers, families and external agencies.
* Proven dedication to contributing positively to whole‐school culture through collaboration, active engagement in school initiatives, and building inclusive, supportive and authentic relationships across the school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you must commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part‐time position of Four days per week, 0.8FTE (full time equivalent), with an anticipated start date of Term 1, 2027.
