BREADS is located within the gourmet, fine food emporium at the Gasworks Plaza, Newstead. Owned and operated by The Standard Market Company, a retail company that specializes in gourmet food. We are a busy patisserie/bakery that sells quality breads and specializes in gourmet pastries, cakes and pies/sausage rolls. We cater for both sweet and savory lines.
We currently have a vacancy for an
Apprentice Pastry Chef
to join our busy team. We are looking for someone with full-time availability, but we are happy to be flexible for the right person. You must, however, be available for
5AM start times
.
To be successful, you must meet the following criteria:
Passionate about food and baking
Friendly personality, able to work well in a team environment and a good learner who can follow direction
Reliable travel to Newstead
Able to work a flexible roster including weekend days and early morning starts
You must have full working rights in Australia to be able to apply for this role
What does an Apprenticeship involve?
This will be a 3-year Pastry Chef Apprenticeship
On the job training by trade qualified Pastry Chefs
This will involve external study and training with a registered training organisation
Reliable and ready to make a commitment to work and study
All of our products are made in store from scratch, so the ideal candidate will assist in the production of cakes and be responsible for decorating cake products for the retail shop and customers
