The Role
This is a unique opportunity to work on critical maritime projects, contributing to the maintenance and sustainment of both commercial and Royal Australian Navy vessels.
The role involves a diverse range of fabrication, welding, and repair tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Your role will involve the following, but not limited to;
Welding and Boiler fabrication
Read and interpret shop drawings
GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding process
Weld all types of metal, ferrous and nonferrous
Working in confined spaces and on elevated work platform equipment
Essential Experience & Qualifications
You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
To be successful for the role you will have:
Trade certificate in Fabrication / Engineering
Working at Heights ticket
Induction for Construction Work / White Card
Enter and Work Confined Spaces ticket
Desirable Experience and licenses
Previous experience working on maritime vessels
MIG & TIG welding experience
Heavy Engineering experience
Existing Baseline or NV1 security clearance
