About the role
We are searching for a full time Chef Manager to work at our new client's Residential Aged Care facility in South Grafton, NSW.
The successful applicant will be required to commence work early to mid-November 2025.
* Hours of employment: 40hours per week with Monday to Friday shifts.
* Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
*The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, and provide a current Police Check certificate, or be willing to apply for one
Key attributes and responsibilities
* Previous experience as a kitchen manager/head chef.
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role. Aged care experience is desirable.
* Commercial cookery background or Hospitality Industry qualification desirable
* Demonstrated and proven budget and cost management experience.
* High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
* Previous experience in the design and implementation of nutritionally adequate and appropriate menus specific to Aged Care
* An understanding of the Aged Care legislation and Accreditation standards
* Empathy towards residents, staff and clients.
* Ability to lead the kitchen team.
* Produce high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with aged care food service guidelines.
* Be responsible for rostering and day to day supervision/management of team members.
* Excellent client liaison and communication skills
