We are Taris Engineering, a well‐established engineering and fabrication company based in Malaga, Western Australia. We provide high‐quality services to the mining, industrial, and heavy engineering sectors, and we are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to join our growing team.
Job Type
Permanent, full‐time position.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic fitting and tooling relevant to the role.
* Interpret technical specifications to determine the best method.
* Understand and implement quality control techniques to ensure finished parts meet specifications.
* Perform or advise on preventive and routine maintenance, minor repairs on machines, and diagnose faults, under management authorisation.
* Operate lifting equipment incidental to the role.
Forklift Licence Required
* Perform non‐trade tasks incidental to the role.
* Maintain a clean workplace, follow safe work practices and report workplace hazards.
* Work under limited supervision either individually or in a team environment.
* Provide trade guidance and assistance as part of a work team.
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning, or similar (preferred)
* Proven experience in a similar hydraulic fitter or mechanical maintenance role.
* Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong math skills for calculations related to dimensions, speeds, and feeds.
* High attention to detail to ensure specifications are met.
* Strong understanding of metal properties, machining processes and workshop practices.
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
* Ability to work under limited supervision and provide trade guidance as part of a team.
Salary
$75,000 to $85,000 per annum, commensurate with skills and experience.
