A permanent full-time opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, experienced and qualified candidate to join City of Darwin in the role of Children and Youth Services Assistant. This is a great opportunity for a community-minded person, experienced in working with young people, to utilise their skills and grow our capability into the future.
About the role
The Children and Youth Services Assistant will work on the library floor for up to four hours a day, to deliver engaging programs for children, young people and families. The role is also required to assist with delivering customer service that supports library patrons in a self-service environment, including answering enquiries, providing information about collections, programs and services, and assisting with technology and digital literacy.
Key Areas of Service Delivery Responsibilities will include:-
* Conduct library programs for children, including Story time, Baby book time, Toddler time, Sensory Story Time and Rhyme time
* Actively engage with children and young people to encourage optimum positive use of the libraries
* Assist with preparing and delivering online and outreach programs for children and youth services
Working hours:
Monday - Friday and some Saturdays
You must be flexible to work from different Library locations.
