**Job Title:** Fire Safety and Security Officer
This role requires a skilled professional to provide facility, building and asset security. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the personal safety of patients, staff, visitors and the general public while on health services land.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Conduct regular patrols of internal and external areas of the hospital facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment.
2. Provide staff escorts at shift changes or as requested and maintain the functionality of CCTV systems according to Operating Procedures.
3. Respond to emergency situations such as fire protection, duress alarms, building alarm systems and calls for an emergency response according to Code Black and Red Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
4. Maintain a sound understanding of all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
A Certificate II in Security Operations (or equivalent) is mandatory for this position.
**Benefits:**
An hourly rate between $42.52 - $44.57 (inclusive of 25% casual loading).
