About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and talented Chef De Cuisine - Banquets to lead the kitchen in our Banquets Kitchen on a 1 year fixed term contract. As a key leader in our Culinary team, you will ensure exceptional experiences for our guests, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation whilst operating within budget.
Some of the responsibilities include
* Oversee all kitchen associates in banquet operations, providing guidance, training and leadership to ensure efficient and high-quality food productions.
* Supervise the preparation and timely execution of banquet meals, including managing prep schedules, portion control, and ensuring food meets high standards.
* Oversee inventory control, ordering, and stock management for banquets kitchen, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while minimising waste.
* Work closely with the Food & Beverage and Sales & Marketing to customise menus and accommodate dietary requirements and preferences to meet guest needs.
* Coordinate with the Events service management to ensure seamless event preparations, including setting up food stations, buffets, or plated meals.

Qualifications
A successful candidate will have:
* Recent experience in events kitchen in a five star hotel highly desirable
* Minimum 2 years' experience as Chef de Cuisine
* Strong culinary skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail and a passion for food.
* Qualification in Kitchen Production
* Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
* Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
