About the role
We are seeking a highly capable Technical Business Analyst (Digital) to join our team and help shape the next generation of Westfund's digital ecosystem. You'll work across a modern and rapidly evolving suite of digital products — including our mobile apps, member portal, public website, marketing automation platforms and cloud-based SaaS systems — all designed to deliver seamless experiences for our members.
As a key contributor across high-impact digital projects, you will analyse complex systems, integrations and data flows, helping to deliver scalable, member-focused solutions that improve experience, support operational efficiency, and uplift our digital platforms. Working closely with stakeholders across Product, IT, Operations, PMO and other business areas, you will elicit and document requirements, translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications, and contribute to solution design alongside architects and developers. You will also support testing and releases, map processes and data flows, and ensure traceability from requirements through to delivery.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, experience working with mobile applications and modern cloud/SaaS platforms, confidence navigating technical detail (APIs, integrations, data), and the ability to translate complexity into clarity for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Skills & Experience
* Applicable tertiary qualification or equivalent.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical detail in accessible terms.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to change, and maintain a high standard of delivery.
* Well-developed stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with experience collaborating across business and technical teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including experience analysing system behaviour, integrations and data flows.
* Demonstrated ability to gather, document and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements, producing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Experience delivering within Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), contributing confidently to stand-ups, refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives.
* Skilled in supporting test preparation and execution, coordinating defect resolution, and ensuring end-to-end traceability.
* Proficiency with digital delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Postman, Swagger, SQL Server and related platforms.
* Experience creating and maintaining analysis artefacts including process maps, data flows, sequence diagrams and integration documentation.
* Experience working with mobile apps or multi-channel digital experiences is highly regarded.
