About the role
Based at our Wacol branch, you will join the team as an Estimator, where your daily tasks will involve accurately and promptly preparing quotes for both private and insurance-related vehicles. You will communicate with customers, insurers, and assessors to ensure a seamless process. Drawing on your trade qualification and experience with heavy vehicles, you will track job progress and keep all parties informed.
Strong computer literacy is essential, as you will use our estimating software, iBodyshop. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure will be crucial. Working collaboratively with a supportive team, you will help ensure a smooth workflow from start to finish.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Accurate, timely and efficient preparation of quotes
* Liaison with customers (owners, insurers and assessors) to ensure they are provided with relevant information
* Follow the job as it progresses, updating required parties and systems along the way
* Estimating both private and insurance related vehicles
* Providing timely and accurate estimates
* Ensuring a smooth process from start to finish
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic, panel beater, body maker or boiler maker. Previous experience in heavy vehicles is a must
* Previous estimating experience will be highly regarded
* Strong computer literacy, including the ability to learn our computer system (iBodyshop) to deliver an efficient and effective service to our business
* Excellent communication skills and a positive work ethic
* High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* Ability to build relationships with customers and assessors
* Can multitask and work well under pressure
* Able to work effectively within a team
