Aboriginal Education Role
An exciting opportunity to join our team as an Aboriginal Identified Teacher at the South Coast Correctional Centre.
This role is crucial in assisting with planning and developing courses that meet the requirements of accredited programs and training packages to achieve compliance with CSNSW policies and procedures.
As part of this role, you will be required to conduct classes and sessions with offenders to meet their educational needs under the principles of adult learning.
You will also participate in evaluating processes including validation and modifying assessments as well as administrative duties including recording offender attendance, progress, and achievements.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making an impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and develop courses to meet the educational needs of offenders
* Conduct classes and sessions with offenders
* Evaluate processes including validation and modifying assessments
* Record offender attendance, progress, and achievements
Requirements:
* Proof of Aboriginality
* Qualification in Education as outlined in the Crown Employees (Education Employees Department of Justice – Corrective Services NSW) Award
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
* Current Driver Licence and preparedness to drive as part of the role
