About our Client:

Our client is a well-established, full-service suburban law firm with a long-standing reputation for delivering practical and client-focused legal advice. They pride themselves on their strong community ties, approachable culture, and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for their clients.

This role represents a genuine opportunity to take the lead of a respected Family Law practice within a stable, supportive, and well-resourced environment.

*About the Role:* This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced family lawyer who enjoys both strategic oversight and direct client engagement. You will:

* Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the Family Law team, including supervision, mentoring, and workflow coordination.
* Manage a diverse portfolio of Family Law matters, including property settlements, parenting arrangements, divorce, spousal maintenance, and financial agreements.
* Work collaboratively with other practice leaders and partners to identify opportunities for growth and practice development, while ensuring the smooth transition of clients and matters from the outgoing principal.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with the firm's existing clients, ensuring a high level of service and continuity during the succession period.
* Play an active role in developing staff capability, fostering a supportive, professional, and values-driven team culture.

There is no requirement for a portable practice, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced practitioner seeking to step into a leadership position within a stable, reputable, and community-focused firm.

*About You:*

* Accredited Specialist in Family Law (strong preference).
* At least 8+ years' experience in Family Law, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
* Confident managing a broad range of Family Law matters and mentoring junior practitioners.
* Excellent communication and client management skills.
* Strong organisational and business acumen, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of client service.

This is a rare chance to inherit an established and reputable Family Law practice, supported by a capable team, within a respected firm that values professionalism, balance, and genuine long-term relationships.
