Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation (PMMRAC) is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers essential services (power, water and municipal) and community services (environmental health, housing and accommodation facilities) to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
The Position
We are seeking a hands-on and self-motivated Municipal Services Supervisor to join our Port Hedland-based team. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently with in a supportive framework, with the chance to travel and make a visible impact in remote communities. As part of a small team you will oversee a two-person crew, to help deliver essential services, maintain community infrastructure and ensure daily operations run safely and smoothly.

What You'll Do
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the Municipal Services crew
* Manage vegetation control, dust suppression, and upkeep of community facilities
* Conduct inspections and maintain infrastructure including power, water compounds, and airstrips
* Perform Rubbish collection and landfill maintenance
* Compile and submit regular reports on inspections, progress, and issues
* Ensure all work aligns with KPIs, budget constraints, and compliance requirements
* Coordinate rosters and scheduling for staff and contractors
* Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, suppliers, and service providers
* Travel to regional and remote sites as required
What You'll Bring
* Experience supervising teams or crews in the field
* Current Driver's Licence and White Card
* Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
* Confidence travelling to and working in remote environments
* Strong practical skills and flexibility to adapt to priorities
* Good communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
* Comfortable working independently within a structured schedule
* Desirable: Bobcat, excavator, or front-end loader licence; chainsaw ticket; First Aid certification
What We Offer
* Monday to Friday 95-hrs per fortnight
* Attractive salary and up to $90 per day meal allowance for remote travel
