About The Role
We're looking for a proactive Accounts Payable Team Leader to manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring financial stability and strong controls. In this role, you will mentor your team, lead audits, and drive process improvements while collaborating with key internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Payable Oversight: Ensure compliant invoice processing, manage payment records, and review account reconciliations.
* Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor team members, conduct performance reviews aligned with VMCH's goals.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, IT, Finance, and other departments to enhance processes and communication.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess the following:
* Experience in leading and managing an accounts payable function or a comparable finance operations role within a medium to large, complex organisation
* Proven leadership skills with a team development focus
* Strong commitment to stakeholder satisfaction and regulatory compliance
* Experience managing process improvements and financial system upgrades
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with experience preparing and reviewing reconciliations and operational metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
* Familiarity with Epicor, DocStar, ARM, or similar platforms or similar systems
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (desirable)
