Randstad is seeking an Operational Planning Consultant, to join our clients team in North Melbourne. In this role you will be responsible for planning and managing the entire lifecycle of the clients product (smart meters), from installation to removal, ensuring a seamless process for our clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
Project Management: Oversee the scheduling and coordination of meter installations, maintenance, upgrades, and removals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for retailers, energy brokers, and field technicians, providing timely updates and resolving any issues that arise.
Operational Excellence: Manage market transactions and "off-market" requests using various systems, ensuring all jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.
Customer Focus: Proactively manage customer expectations by keeping them informed of job statuses and potential delays, and help resolve any exceptions.
Efficiency: Look for ways to optimize scheduling to minimize travel time and costs while maximizing resource recovery.
Safety: Champion a "safety first" culture by flagging potential hazards and assisting with corrective actions.
What We're Looking For:
Strong Interpersonal Skills: A proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Communication Skills: You should be comfortable and confident with both phone and email communication.
Technical Proficiency: A solid working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite, including Word and Excel.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar operational or scheduling role is highly desirable. Knowledge of Australian Electricity Market Rules is a plus.
