Reporting to the General Manager APAC, the Business Mnager will take responsibility for direct sales management and delivery of projects to major retail groups in the Australian market. The role will have national responsibility, managing an existing recurring revenue base, as well as developing potential strategic new business opportunities with new and existing customers in collaboration with the General Manager. This hands-on position will also have emphasis on strategic new business acquisition, leveraging off pre-existing customer relationships, developing a strategic plan, and engaging with direct accounts and coordinating major project teams.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Management of existing accounts and new accounts across all vertical Retail Groups in Australia
- Responsible for sales efforts in Australia.
- Interface with existing and prospective customers daily.
- Overseeing the projects team in the delivery of confirmed roll out programs.
- Work collectively with operations and technical departments on the delivery of program projects and installations.
- Assist and be a major influence on achievement of revenue goals.
- Develop new accounts via lead follow ups, warm and cold calling.
- Provide internal follow-up debriefing of opportunities to all departments.
- Identify and recommend other opportunities for increasing the group's profile among potential clients.
- Undertake retail conferences to further enhance the business profile.
- Work Directly with the General Manager and Operations Manager setting inventory
- expectations and customer service standards.
**Qualifications & experiences**:
- Strategic sales, key account and project coordination experience with a background coming from the retail technology hardware space - B2B not B2C
- You will be highly regarded should you have exposure to the loss prevention market.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to present and influence external parties.
- Technical acumen with the ability to interpret site plans, design systems as required in line with corporate requirements and ensure a good level of technical knowledge of the company's solutions.
- Be a committed, self-motivated individual with a proven ability to manage sales responsibilities across the country.
- Be a self-starter, possessing a passion for excellence and the proven ability to identify new business opportunities.
- Have the proven and demonstrated ability to work independently, with mínimal supervision.
