Job Description
WHF Group are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Painter to join their team in Paget QLD. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
* Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
-Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents, or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
* Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns.
* Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
* Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches, and drawings.
* Safe operation of tools and equipment
* Grinding, sanding, and polishing of steel.
* Understanding of painting, caulking, and sealing and putting them into practice
* Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods.
Skills & Abilities:
* Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
* Ideally have 3 years' experience within relevant or similar field
* Ability to work in a team environment.
