About the role
A Structural Landscape Estimator / Salesperson, you'll be the first point of contact in assessing potential projects and developing tailored proposals for clients. This is a client-facing, hands-on role requiring strong structural landscaping knowledge, estimating / sales experience, and great communication skills.
Key Responsibilities for the role
- Site Visits: Attend properties to assess landscape needs
- Project Evaluation: Review site conditions and client requirements to determine scope
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for proposed works
- On-Site Liaison: Meet with site teams at project commencement to ensure clear understanding
- Client Consultation: Offer expert advice on design and materials selection
- Proposal Development: Produce clear, professional proposals including scope, pricing, and timelines
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and contractors for quotes and timelines
- Client Communication: Maintain ongoing, professional contact with clients throughout the process
Skills & experience
- Proven experience as an estimator / salesperson in landscaping, or a related field
- Solid understanding of landscape construction
- Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confident using estimating tools and software
- Qualifications in landscaping, or design are highly regarded
