Job Title: Voter Registration Technician
The Cleveland County Board of Elections is seeking a highly skilled Voter Registration Technician to join our team.

This role involves preparing and maintaining voter records, providing technical support, and performing various duties in the Elections Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate voter registration records, assisting with candidate filings, and overseeing daily operations of our training program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Voter Record Management: Process, analyze, evaluate, and enter voter registration records using the State Election Information Management System (SEIMS). Research transactions with missing or incomplete information and draft correspondence or records voter registration denials.
2. Candidate Filing Support: Assist local and state candidates with filing; collect fees and notarize documents; work with candidates, officials, and the public to provide information and guidance on election laws and procedures.
3. Training Program Oversight: Develop or modify training materials and procedures; facilitate comprehensive training to ensure continuity in all voting locations.
4. Election Equipment Maintenance: Perform logic and accuracy testing to certify election equipment; complete necessary documentation to comply with State requirements prior to each election.
5. Supply Management: Maintain contents of election supply boxes; create spreadsheets for supplies, equipment, and documents; assign and deploy election equipment and supplies to each voting location.
6. Record Custody: Maintain custody of official records, including administrative election documents and information from courts and State agencies.
7. Ballot Inventory and Security: Handle ballot inventory, security, distribution, and transport labeling.
8. Technical Support: Provide technical support for multiple third-party computer programs; troubleshoot and resolve problems related to laptop computers and peripherals.
9. Returns and Chain of Security: Oversee returns of election equipment and supplies after voting locations close; maintain chain of security for securing voted ballots, voting equipment, and paperwork.
10. Provisional Ballots: Supervise researching and verification of provisional ballots to be presented to Board Members for review.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 1-3 years' experience providing technical support or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
This role requires occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force and regular use of standard office equipment.
