MobBOOST is a program co-delivered by Accoras and the Inala Elders as a small, integrated team. The Inala Elders provide cultural governance and leadership, working alongside Accoras staff to ensure all aspects of service delivery are culturally appropriate and guided by Indigenous knowledge and ways of working.
The Role
The Employment and Training Coordinator walks alongside MobBOOST participants on their journey to meaningful community engagement through employment. Working within a culturally safe framework, this role supports participants as they navigate their pathway while strengthening connection to community and culture.
The role provides tailored guidance, support, and resources to help participants explore opportunities, develop skills, and achieve their goals at their own pace. This includes supporting employment, training, volunteering, and small business pathways across three age groups: 15-25 years, 26-49 years, and 50-64 years.
About You
We’re looking for a team member who can:
* Support participants through their journey from initial contact through to sustainable outcomes
* Provide culturally relevant mentorship and integrate Indigenous perspectives into career development
* Co-create Personal Goal Plans that honor participants' self-determination and cultural identity
* Build strong connections with employers, training providers, and community organisations to create culturally safe opportunities
* Demonstrate work experience from a similar role.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity along with relevant qualifications suitable to the role (e.g. community services) are highly desirable.
