Gardener Position Overview
As a gardener in the FIFO industry, you will have a unique opportunity to utilize your creativity and passion for horticulture to maintain and enhance site grounds and gardens.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent turf management skills, including tree and shrub maintenance, mowing, weed control, and watering the grounds. You will also be responsible for maintaining camp facilities in a serviceable and presentable condition, including minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and enhance site grounds and gardens
* Turf management, including tree and shrub maintenance, mowing, weed control, and watering the grounds
* Maintain camp facilities in a serviceable and presentable condition, including minor repairs
* Ensure yards at the site are maintained in a presentable level as required by contractual requirements
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* A collaborative individual skilled in managing multiple tasks in high-pressure settings
* Ability to work extended shifts in a dynamic environment
* Experience in general maintenance or a background in trades or labor is preferred
* Familiarity with chemical handling is advantageous
* Capacity to function effectively both independently and collaboratively with team members
