We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at ShoSho!

The Venue:
ShoSho is a beloved, well-established venue, proudly situated at the top of King William Road, Hyde Park. Our izakaya-style dining showcases Japanese cuisine, complemented by a curated wine and cocktail list. Since opening in 2020, our unique offering and warm, professional service have kept locals and visitors returning time and again.
What you'll bring:
1. A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality.
2. A passion for Japanese cuisine and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
3. Strong communication and organisational skills.
4. RSA certification.
5. Responsible Person badge.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Daily Operations
o Assist in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations.
o Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.
o Step in for the Restaurant Manager when required.
2. Team Support & Supervision
o Support the training and supervision of staff.
o Help with staff scheduling and shift coordination.
o Monitor team performance and provide on-the-job guidance.
o Deliver high levels of customer service and guest satisfaction.
o Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
o Ensure the dining environment is clean, welcoming, and well-presented.
3. Inventory & Stock Control
o Assist in managing stock levels and ordering supplies as directed by Restaurant Manager.
o Ensure correct storage and rotation of stock.
4. Health, Safety & Compliance
o Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with Australian regulations.
o Ensure all staff adhere to RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and safety procedures.
o Support compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) policies.
o Assist with cash handling, reconciliation, and banking processes.
o Report any variances or issues to the Restaurant Manager.
5. Communication & Coordination
o Maintain clear communication between front and back-of-house teams.
o Liaise with suppliers and service providers as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
o Provide feedback and suggest improvements for operations.
o Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
