Speech Language Pathology Role:
The primary objective of this role is to deliver high-quality patient services, encompassing diagnosis, consultation, assessment, and treatment. The successful candidate will participate in departmental/community programs and hospital-wide initiatives related to professional services. They will maintain a safe work environment and provide care consistent with the hospital's vision and values, as well as relevant professional standards.
* Provide comprehensive speech language pathology services to patients.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in speech language pathology.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
* Conduct thorough assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement interventions for patients with communication disorders.
* Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
* Stay current with evidence-based guidelines in speech language pathology and maintain certification where applicable.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
