About the Role
The Victorian Nurse Practitioner Program is supporting 34 Victorian small rural health services to embed nurse practitioner models of care.
The successful candidate will be employed between 3-4 days per week (applicant dependent) which includes receiving 300 hours of paid supernumerary practice as part of their clinical supervision requirements, for an 18 month fixed term basis. The Hesse Nurse Practitioner will act as the mentor for this role 2 days per week. The Nurse Practitioner Candidate will work as a Registered Nurse role for the remainder of their contracted hours.
This role offers a unique professional experience, combining autonomous practice with collaborative care in an advanced clinical capacity. As part of the team, you will provide Urgent and Acute Care services, support comprehensive care delivery to aged care residents and contribute to the education and development of our clinical staff.
Essential requirements include:
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
* Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
* Minimum of 5 years full time equivalent (FTE) clinical experience as a RN of which at least three years FTE is in a relevant speciality area in an advanced practice role.
* Enrolled in / or commenced a Masters of Nurse Practitioner qualification.
* Demonstrated ability to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced practice clinical role.
* Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate with a range of health care professionals in healthcare settings.
* Ability to utilise Information Technology to enhance practice.
