Health Promotion Role Overview
The Health Promotion Nurse is a vital role in promoting optimum health and well-being among inmates. This position involves facilitating disease prevention, health enhancement, and empowerment through education and advocacy.
This fast-paced role requires the ability to undertake emergency care, coordinate nurse-led clinics, liaise with interdisciplinary teams, and conduct healthcare assessments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in operational levels of health service provision and knowledge of health promotion principles.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Facilitate disease prevention and health enhancement programs for inmates
 * Conduct healthcare assessments and develop individualized care plans
 * Liaise with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
 * Coordinate nurse-led clinics and provide emergency care as needed
Essential Requirements:
 * Registered Nurse Division One qualification
 * A minimum of 3 years' full-time or pro-rata part-time post-registration experience in a relevant area
 * Holding or working towards qualifications within Health Promotion scope of practice (desirable)
