About Us
The Adelaide Production and Treatment Alliance is a partnership with SA Water and is responsible for operating and maintaining five water treatment plants, five wastewater treatment plants, recycled water plants and distribution/collection systems delivering services to the Adelaide Metropolitan region.
Working in partnership with SA Water as one brand and one team, the Adelaide Production & Treatment Alliance (P&T Alliance) provides a safe and engaged workforce to meet SA Water's customer service targets and regulated responsibilities. With integration and collaboration, the P&T Alliance team combines expertise from SUEZ and SA Water and shares responsibility in ensuring delivery of the high quality, trusted water services our community needs now and into the future.
About the role
Our Disinfection Support role will proactively ensure the efficient and compliant disinfection of the water supply network after the Treatment Plant, including water assets such as tanks and mains, and the operation of chlorination equipment. You will plan and coordinate mains disinfections, perform both planned and reactive disinfection duties, maintain mobile and fixed disinfection units, and ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and quality standards. You will also participate in ongoing training, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate closely with SA Water to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality water services.
What you can bring to the team
You are hands-on, safety-conscious, and keen to learn about water supply operations. You enjoy practical, operational work and are comfortable working independently or as part of a team. A willingness to upskill in water mains disinfection, valve operations, and chemical handling is essential, along with strong communication and documentation skills.
Essential Requirements
· Understanding or willingness to learn the water supply network
· Experience or willingness to learn valve operations and water treatment chemicals
· Experience or willingness to learn water mains disinfection and de-chlorination
· General laboratory skills
· Practical knowledge of mobile devices and Microsoft Office
· Current unrestricted driver's licence\
· Willingness to undertake LR/MR driver's licence training if required
· Willingness to undertake planned overtime during night hours
Desirable Skills/Experience
· LR truck licence or higher
· Chlorine handling/training experience
· Breathing apparatus ticket
