**About the role**

A key member of our Civil & Marine Team, the CAD Draftsperson will lead the delivery of all 3D Modelling activities using BIM capabilities for construction staging and feasibility assessments. Based in Hobart, Tasmania, this role offers an opportunity for you to enjoy coming to work! This is a hands-on role that requires you to have solid attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will take complete ownership of creating technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) principles and will support the New Bridgewater Bridge project, Tasmania's largest-ever transport infrastructure project, and the longest road bridge over water in Australia.
- 3D Modelling using BIM capabilities for construction staging and feasibility assessments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure construction techniques and methods to assist with preparing 3D construction models.
- Displaying 3D models through PDF drawings and Navisworks (or similar) to help the engineering and construction teams understand constraints and challenges.
- Develop construction drawings for appropriate construction methods together with appropriate plant selection and temporary works solutions.
- Production of drawings for temporary works designs in accordance with the appropriate requirements of the bids or projects.
- Prepare documentation and presentation material for pre-qualifications, bids, and projects.
- Provide feedback to the project personnel on construction details. Provides drawing and technical documentation as required.
**About you**
- Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering or related industries like construction, mining, resources, or heavy industry with significant exposure to structural and civil drafting.
- Self-sufficient, ability to take ownership, and solid interpersonal skills.
- Competent in the use of MS Office, Sure Trak, AutoCad, Lotus Notes.
