About the Role
As an Environmental Health Officer, you'll play a vital role in promoting and preserving healthy communities and a sustainable environment. You will:
Investigate public health and environmental risks, including food safety and nuisances
Undertake compliance inspections and audits under relevant legislation
Respond to asbestos exposure incidents and coordinate decontamination
Provide advice and negotiate on public health matters for events and applications
Contribute to policy development and community education programs
About you
You are a qualified professional with:
Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or related discipline
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
